On Monday evening, a report came out from ESPN’s Taylor Twellman indicating that Krisztian Nemeth has an interest in a return to Major League Soccer and included Columbus Crew SC — along with Sporting Kansas City, D.C. United and the New England Revolution — as a possible landing spot.
After training on Tuesday, head coach and sporting director Gregg Berhalter was asked about Nemeth and if there was any interest. Berhalter gave his typical response: “I won’t comment on players that won’t on our roster.”
Linking the attacker to Crew SC makes sense as Nemeth would have to enter the allocation process and the Black & Gold have the top spot in the allocation order.
