Columbus Crew SC midfielder Wil Trapp received his third call-up to the United States Men’s National Team and will participate in its annual January camp, the club announced Thursday.
Trapp, 23, was one of 32 MLS players named to the roster.
On Feb. 5 of last year, he subbed on in the 77th minute of the USMNT’s 2-0 victory over Canada, earning his second senior national team cap.
He also played significant minutes for the United States Under-23 team during its qualifying for the 2016 Olympics. The U.S. fell to Colombia, 3-2, in a two-game playoff last spring to miss out on the 16-team Olympics field.
