Following the loss to Toledo last week, Columbus Eagles head coach Mark Wise and his team got back to basics in training. The group dedicated many hours to polishing tactics in preparation for the the team’s marquee match against Cincinnati Sirens at MAPFRE Stadium.

It was an afternoon that the Eagles won’t soon forget as Columbus took down the Sirens 4-2.

Mary Seiffert came very close to putting the Eagles on the board early in the 14th minute. She had a beautiful shot from outside of the 18-yard box that was just over the crossbar. Moments later, Cincinnati forward Danielle Dixon found the back of the net to give the Sirens a 1-0 lead.
