Bob Hunter commentary | Rumblings: Higuain's days with Crew could be numbered

Crew SC midfielder Federico Higuain is still trying to recover from a lingering muscle tear in his midsection. With four games left and likely no playoffs in the offing, doubts about his future with the team — for this season and next — are growing.

Higuain has 17 starts and 19 appearances in 30 games this season, after also missing time because of a sports hernia. His four goals and three assists are his lowest totals since joining the team in 2012, he will be 32 next month, and he is the highest-paid player ($1.175 million) on a team ranked 19th among 20 teams in Major League Soccer.
