Quick Takes: Blue Jackets at Capitals

The Columbus Blue Jackets faced off against the league leading Washington Capitals just 24 hours after last night’s horror show against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Thanks to injuries sustained on a fluke hit (to Nick Foligno) and blatant dirty play (to Oliver Bjorkstrand, which earned Roman Polak a well deserved two game ban) the Jackets were without two key forwards for the contest.

Despite some questions ahead of the game, Nick Foligno was able to play.

The first period started with an eight minute feeling out process ahead of dueling minors to Tom Wilson and Josh Anderson.
