Josh Anderson to undergo surgery, expected to miss four weeks

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Josh Anderson is undergoing surgery this afternoon to repair a small orbital fracture and is expected to be sidelined approximately four weeks, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The surgery is being performed at OhioHealth’s Grant Medical Center by Dr. Ken Cahill of Opthalmic Surgeons and Consultants of Ohio.

Anderson, 21, suffered the injury in the Blue Jackets’ preseason game vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins on September 21. He collected an assist and two penalty minutes in six games with Columbus during his first professional season in 2014-15.
