Blue Jackets sign defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk to one-year, two-way contract

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk to a one-year, two-way contract (NHL/AHL), club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Bodnarchuk, who turns 27 on July 11, has registered 30 goals and 105 assists for 135 points with 469 penalty minutes and a +63 plus/minus rating in 473 career American Hockey League games with the Providence Bruins and Manchester Monarchs. He also collected two penalty minutes in five NHL games with Boston during the 2009-10 season. In 2014-15, he tallied 5-20-25, 84 penalty minutes and was +12 in 61 games with Manchester.
