What bowl organizers hope for are good matchups that draw interest and put fans in stadium seats.
The Famous Idaho Potato bowl group feels they've nailed one down when Colorado State (7-5) takes on Idaho (8-4) on Dec. 22 (5 p.m.; ESPN). Neither team backed into their bowl appearance with both on pretty good streaks to close the year, and in the Vandals, the game has a bit of local flair.
Colorado State won four of it's final five games to reach the postseason and land a fourth straight bowl appearance and guarantee the program will finish with a winning record every season over the same span.
