The Mountain West released a statement Monday in response to the extracurricular activity that occurred between the two teams before, during and after Saturday's game in Fort Collins.
Following New Mexico's 84-71 victory, a game that featured four technical fouls, UNM assistant coach Terrence Rencher and CSU senior forward Emmanuel Omogbo got into a verbal altercation outside the entrance to the McGraw Athletic Center as the Lobos were loading up their team bus to leave the Moby Arena parking lot.
In video captured by Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal, Omogbo can be seen saying to Rencher, "You're lucky I've got my coach holding me back, I'll whoop your ass.
