Colorado State signs junior college player of the year Deion James

FORT COLLINS — The Colorado State men's basketball team made the addition of Deion James official on Thursday, announcing that the NJCAA Division II Player of the Year has signed a letter of intent with the Rams.

James can play right away and has two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-8 forward from Tucson, Ariz., committed to the Rams on Tuesday, choosing CSU over offers from Fresno State and Washington State.

James began his collegiate career at North Carolina A&T and saw limited playing time as a freshman in 2015-16, averaging 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 21 games.
