Colorado State men's basketball adds forward Alonzo Tyson to roster

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State's men's basketball team added junior college transfer Alonzo Tyson to the roster for the upcoming season, the university announced Monday.

Tyson, a 6-foot-9 forward, joins the team as a transfer from Cape Fear Community College (N.C.), and head coach Larry Eustachy said he will be able to play immediately with two years of eligibility remaining.

"We are very excited about Alonzo," Eustachy said in a release. "He brings a shot-blocking dimension that I don't think we have had in my time here."

Alonso played two years with the Sea Devils for coach Ryan Mantlo, a former assistant at CSU.
