FORT COLLINS — After eight straight games to open the season, Colorado State's football gets a bye.

The Rams (4-4 overall, 2-2 Mountain West) do not get to completely chill, however.

"I told those guys the bye week is not an off week," CSU coach Mike Bobo said. "It's a chance to get better and improve, and we've got to improve in this bye week and get ready to play Fresno state at home. Hopefully we've got a packed house. There's only two more games at Hughes, and we need the stadium filled both times."

The Rams did the bye week right, beating UNLV 42-23 behind a dominant first half that saw the team head to the locker room with a 35-0 lead.
