FORT COLLINS — Colorado State's football program is one step closer to completing the 2018 schedule with Thursday's announcement the Rams will host Illinois State that season.
The FCS Redbirds out of Missouri Valley Conference will come to Sonny Lubick Field on Sept. 22 of that season in the first meeting between the two. An FCS playoff team the past three seasons, Illinois State will slide it at the end of the non-conference schedule, one week after the Rams travel to Florida (Sept. 15). The season opener will be the Rocky Mountain Showdown vs. Colorado in Denver on Sept.
