FORT COLLINS — Last month during its annual meeting, the Mountain West Board of Directors unanimously endorsed ways for its member institutions to beef up the overall quality of its men's basketball programs.
As a one-bid league the past two seasons, better non-conference scheduling was at the top of the list of recommendations.
Colorado State coach Larry Eustachy seems to be on board, as he and his staff have put together a "monster" non-league schedule that is just about finalized.
"There's no question the league's wanting us to step it up," assistant coach Steve Barnes said.
