By now the entire baseball community is well acclimated to the talent that is the Colorado Rockies 24-year-old shortstop. 2016 saw Story hit .272 with 27 HRs and 72 RBI in only 97 games played. A devastating UCL tear ended his rookie season, his chance at the Rookie Of The Year award and most importantly a 9-1 stretch for the Rockies that had them looking like a National League Wildcard contender.
The Rockies were 50-47 at that point in the season and 50-44 in games Story had started. The rest of the season didn’t go too well. The Rockies went 25-40 the rest of the way to finish 75-87 overall.
