Rockies-Pirates game postponed by rain; makeup game is Monday

PITTSBURGH — A day that began with promise for the Rockies was washed away Sunday afternoon at PNC Park. Their game against the Pittsburgh Pirates was postponed after a 3-hour, 37- minute rain delay.

The game will be made up Monday, with first pitch scheduled for 10:35 a.m. MDT. Right-hander Jordan Lyles will start for the Rockies, with right-hander Ryan Vogelsong pitching for the Pirates.

The Rockies were leading 1-0 after one inning Sunday on a double by Cristhian Adames and a run-scoring triple by Nolan Arenado. Colorado starter Chad Bettis set the Pirates down in order in the bottom half of the inning.
