Rockies’ Nolan Arenado, DJ LeMahieu, Carlos Gonzalez named finalists for NL Gold Gloves

The Rockies’ have a solid chance to strike gold, again. In fact, they have three chances.

Rawlings announced Thursday that Colorado third baseman Nolan Arenado, second baseman DJ LeMahieu and right fielder Carlos Gonzalez are finalists for a National League Gold Glove award. All three have won before.

Arenado is looking to become the first third baseman in major-league history to win four consecutive Gold Gloves. His competition comes from the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Justin Turner and Anthony Rendon of the Washington Nationals.

“This is so cool for all of us,” Arenado said. “It’s always an honor to be up for the Gold Glove.
