ST. LOUIS — The Rockies made good on their promise of beefing up their bullpen. The club traded for all-star veteran Philadelphia right-handed, side-arm Pat Neshek Wednesday night.

To acquire Pat Neshek (and cash considerations), they gave up three minor league players: infielder Jose Gomez, right-handed pitcher J.D. Hammer and right-handed pitcher Alejandro Requena.

To make room on the 40-man roster, the Rockies transferred left-hander Tyler Anderson to the 60-day disabled list because of left knee inflammation.

Neshek, 36, is 3-2 with a 1.12 ERA, five walks and 45 strikeouts in 43 relief appearances for Philadelphia this season.
