Colorado Rockies starter Tyler Matzek pitches least efficient game in 15 years

Colorado Rockies starter Tyler Matzek walked six batters in two innings and threw the lowest strike percentage in MLB since 2000. Not surprisingly, the Rockies also lost ... by a lot.

Tyler Matzek has struggled with his command in 2015 and throughout his career but today was by far the fiercest that demon turned it's ugly head. He walked six batters in only two innings pitched, including walking three of the first four batters of the game. Of his 58 thrown pitches, only 20 went for strikes. That is the worst strike percentage thrown in at least 50 pitches since 2000, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
