Rapids take former Real Madrid Academy striker Jaime Siaj with third round pick

Jaime Siaj was born in Madrid but arrived in the USA in the summer of 2014 to study psychology, along with his older brother, Daniel. Both players came through the Real Madrid Academy, but it is the younger sibling, Jaime who has caught the eye.

During his three seasons at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, Siaj started 68 of his 69 appearances, in which he scored 47 goals and tallied 28 assists. He enjoyed his best season in 2016, with an impressive 19 goals and 16 assists, from only 22 appearances (all starts).

The six-foot-two-inch striker, often played as a wide player with Pfeiffer, was among the scorers as the Falcons beat Cal Poly Pomona 4-0 to claim the 2015 NCAA Division II Championship.
