Just one team in the Western Conference has cemented their precious place in the 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs as we prepare to push into the final month of the regular season.
FC Dallas lead the standings, and the race for the Supporters Shield, and guaranteed their position in the postseason with a tie in New York on the penultimate weekend of September.
The remaining five berths in the Western Conference will be determined in the final month of the season. Four of that five have just three games left. The Colorado Rapids, sitting neatly in second, have two games in hand on all those around them.
