Welp, tonight looked like more of the same old. It’s not that we didn’t see the effort from the Colorado Rapids, but I think we all expected more in a home match against a last place DC United squad.
Both sides had chances in the first half. Though the Rapids only had one shot on target (DC had four), both Nana Boateng and Shkelzen Gashi were taking opportunities to shoot when they were open. Nana’s shot in the 36th minute in particular made DCU goalkeeper Bill Hamid work for the save.
Unfortunately, DC United went up 1-0 in the 27th minute due to an own goal.
