Shades of Denver Broncos run to Super Bowl shadows Colorado Buffaloes in Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — There was symmetry to be found everywhere in and around Levi’s Stadium on Friday night.

Colorado arrived at the Pac-12 championship game against Washington having left the same hotel the Denver Broncos slept in 10 months ago before winning Super Bowl 50. They emerged from bowels of the stadium for warmups in all-white uniforms, just as the Broncos had.

Walking out of that hotel the night before, on his way to watch a Golden State Warriors game, was Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, the quarterback who was terrorized by Broncos linebacker Von Miller in that championship game.
