Buffs' Thompson selected by Seattle in NFL Draft

Tedric Thompson is heading to Seattle.

On Saturday morning, the former Colorado safety was selected by the Seahawks with the fourth pick in the fourth round (No. 111 overall) of the NFL Draft.

Thompson is the third CU player selected in this weekend's draft, joining cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie (Dallas, 2nd round) and Ahkello Witherspoon (San Francisco, 3rd round). Prior to this year, the Buffs had not had a player drafted since 2014.

This is the fourth time in CU history that three defensive backs have been selected in the same draft, and Thompson is the first CU safety picked since Michael Lewis was a second-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2002.
