Buffs Beat Oregon Behind Strong Second Half

The University of Colorado lacrosse team won its regular season finale over Oregon 8-6 behind a five-goal surge in the second half and a stingy defense that allowed just two goals after the break.

Buffs midfielder Darby Kiernan led all scorers with four goals. Marie Moore, Blair Sisk and Johnna Fusco each scored once for Colorado.

The Ducks got a hat trick from attacker Courtney Valdez, and a goal apiece from Bella Pyne, Olivia Pyne and Cambi Cukar.

With the win, Colorado is the fourth seed in next week's Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament, which will be held in Denver.
