WASHINGTON AT COLORADO, 8 p.m., Wednesday, ALT, 950 AM
Spotlight on Capitals LW Alex Ovechkin: The Russian star might have the lowest goal-scoring season of his career. He has 30 heading into the Capitals’ game at Minnesota Tuesday night, and his lowest total in a non-lockout year was 32, in 2010-11. But 30 (tied for 15th in the league) isn’t chopped liver, and with the Capitals likely to post the top record in the league, it’s hard to consider this a problem.
Capitals: Washington has won four in a row heading into the game at Minnesota, the opener of a five-game trip.
