Tyson Barrie feels extra days off a time to repair, prepare and recover

After what potentially could be the toughest stretch of matchups for the Colorado Avalanche this season, the Avs are now in the midst of their longest break between games they will have all year.

Going six days without a game can be somewhat detrimental to NHL teams as it can be difficult to maintain fluidity and a high level of competition while not seeing real game action. Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie believes, however, that the break will be favorable for Colorado saying, “I think it will be good for us.”

“We had a pretty tough road trip.
