The Colorado Avalanche are infamous for being bad from a fancy stats point of view, and that drives me crazy. They’re my team, so I don’t want anyone looking down their nose at them — not even fellow Avalanche fans.
That said, I’m not a Polyanna — I realize they’re not perfect. If so, I would have been attending a Stanley Cup parade in downtown Denver for the third time ever. The Colorado Avalanche need work.
Ask 100 Avs fans what the team needs to do to improve, and you’ll get 1,000 different answers — we all have at least 10 ideas of what Colorado needs to do to make the playoffs and be legitimate Cup contender.
