After the recent signing of Swedish defenseman Anton Lindholm, a 2014 fifth-round draft pick, the Avalanche on Friday announced that 2015 sixth-round defenseman Sergei Boikov of Russia also has signed his entry-level contract.
Boikov, 20, played four games for the San Antonio Rampage after finishing the season with Drummondville of the Quebec junior league. In his third season with the Voltigeurs, Boikov had six goals and 26 points in 52 games.
