Redmond Named To Team USA Roster

USA Hockey announced Thursday that Colorado Avalanche defenseman Zach Redmond has been added to the Men’s National Team roster for the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship.

Redmond and the rest of Team USA will head to Ostrava and Prague, Czech Republic to compete in the tournament, which runs May 1-17.

This will be the first time that the 26-year-old rear guard has represented his country in international competition.

A native of Traverse City, Mich., Redmond is coming off his first full season in the NHL. He registered 20 points (five goals, 15 assists) in 59 games, finishing third in scoring among Avs defenseman.
