Former CCU basketball standout Wilson taking his talents to Europe

Elijah Wilson’s college basketball career allowed him to be part of a historic trip to Cuba.

He’s also vacationed in the Dominican Republic.

Now, he’s set to embark upon farther travels.

The former Coastal Carolina standout has signed to play for Basketball Club Raiffeisen Flyers Wels in Austria, where he’ll be from late August until sometime in May 2018.

Basketball Club Raiffeisen Flyers Wels is a member of the top league in Austria, A Bundesliga.

“I’m an open-minded person. I like to experience new things and, shoot, any time you get the chance to continue to get paid for something that you love to do, you’re more willing to branch out of your comfort zone in order to try it out,” said Wilson, who played for the Chanticleers from 2013-17 and was a member of the 2015 team that became the first Division I squad to take a tour in Cuba.
