Jonathan Lucroy, who nixed trade to Cleveland Indians, didn't expect retaliation

ARLINGTON, Texas – Jonathan Lucroy went to bat against the Indians four times Thursday night without incident. No pitcher threw at him, much less brushed him back.

Lucroy, the man who thumbed his nose at the Indians by vetoing a trade to them on July 31, didn't expect any problems.

"This is a business," he said. "We're all commodities."

Lucroy singled with two out in the second to start a three-run rally for Texas, which shut out the Indians, 9-0. When he reached second on a wild pitch, shortstop Francisco Lindor greeted him with a slap on the back.
