Wine connoisseurs can uncork new Cleveland Indians label

The Cleveland Indians have joined the ranks of Major League Baseball teams offering their own wine.

Wine Spectator magazine revealed on its website Thursday that the Indians have released a California red blend.

The MLB.com website says the wine has “notes of chocolate, roasted coffee bean and vanilla spice.”

The red and blue label is simple, featuring the script Indians logo. No Chief Wahoo.

A three-bottle package of the wine runs $47.99 via mlb.com/wine.

(There was a bug in the MLB.com online listing of the wine Thursday evening. Clicking on “Find Local Retailer” yielded a listing of Colorado stores apparently selling Colorado Rockies wine.
