Royals 6, Indians 2: Corey Kluber again gets little run support, or defensive support, in loss to Royals

CLEVELAND: The Indians’ offense again struggled to support ace Corey Kluber and the defense again compounded the problem in a 6-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals at Progressive Field on Monday night.

The Indians managed just four hits, committed three errors and lost their third consecutive game.

Twice, Royals starter Jason Vargas walked back-to-back batters with one out but got out of the inning without allowing a run.

The first time, in the first inning, Carlos Santana grounded out and Ryan Raburn flew out. The second time it didn’t even get that far, as Santana grounded into an inning-ending double play.
