The Kevin Love trade looks even better three years later

The Cavaliers decided to mortgage the future potential of Andrew Wiggins in hopes to immediately compete for a title with an established all-star in Kevin Love. Three years and one Larry O’Brien trophy later it’s clear that the Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t just win the trade, they knocked it out of the park.

Kevin Love didn’t immediately fit perfectly with Cleveland. He had a tough time getting adjusted to being the third scoring option on a team centered around LeBron James. As a result, Kevin Love went from being an All-NBA second team member averaging 26.1 points per game, to being a stretch four scoring nearly 10 points less a game.
