Moves that shaped David Griffin's three years as Cavaliers general manager

CLEVELAND, Ohio — David Griffin’s franchise-shaping run as general manager began an early February day in 2014, in the wake of Chris Grant’s firing.

Griffin came aboard more than three years earlier as vice president of basketball operations. Coincidentally, he left Phoenix shortly after Steve Kerr stepped down as Suns GM. Now, Griffin’s run with the Cavaliers comes to a crossroads after facing Kerr for a third time in The Finals.

Here are Griffin’s notable moves since the Cavaliers made him their decision maker on personnel moves. He might want some of them back, but most proved shrewd in molding a contender.
