As the MLB trade deadline wrapped up the defending champion Golden State Warriors made one of their own. No, they didn’t trade for a superstar or even somebody who will play 20 minutes a game, but the player they traded for makes the best and deepest team in the NBA even deeper.
So who did the Warriors trade for; Jason Thompson, formerly of the Sacramento Kings. The Warriors took advantage of the helpless Philadelphia 76ers to acquire Thompson. They traded newly acquired Gerald Wallace to Philly in exchange for Thompson.
