Cavs Weekly: Cleveland Still Looking For Consistency Ahead Of Playoffs

The Cleveland Cavaliers have widened their lead for the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture thanks to several blowout victories, but a bad stumble this week shows this team still has some room to grow. Let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:
Cleveland started the week with a dominant 124-91 win over the Denver Nuggets at home on Monday, led by a monster triple-double from LeBron James (33 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists). The Cavs followed that up with another convincing 113-104 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, but the trouble came the following night.

Cleveland traveled to take on the lowly Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, but were outscored 24-12 in the fourth quarter as the Nets came back to win 104-95. James scored 30 points in the first three quarters, yet failed to score a single point in the fourth. The Cavs also shot just 10/38 from three-point range as a team.

However, it didn't take long for Cleveland to get back on track, blowing out the New York Knicks 107-93 on Saturday in Madison Square Garden. LeBron had another triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

What's Next?
The Cavs return home at the start of this week to host the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, then get a rematch with the Nets at Quicken Loans Arena. Friday brings a one-game road trip to face a surging Atlanta Hawks team, then they'll return home to face the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Read more Cavs news in the Chat Sports iPhone and Android apps.

Injuries:
LeBron James will miss Tuesday's game against the Rockets for a scheduled rest night.
