Report: Cavs willing to include Andrew Wiggins in Kevin Love trade

After deeming him off-limits for the majority of their trade talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Cleveland Cavs are reportedly now willing to include Andrew Wiggins in a potential deal for Kevin Love.

According to Bob Finnan of the News-Herald, "a league source said on July 17 that the Cavs are now willing to trade the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 draft."

Finnan also quotes a source as indicating that the returning LeBron James wants Love on the roster regardless of the cost.

While Wiggins' raw athletic potential is by all means valuable, the pressure for the Cavs to build a winner now might be the impetus behind dangling the coveted young Kansas phenom in trade talks.

Many NBA analysts speculate that adding a three-time NBA All-Star and pure scorer such as Love is what the Cavs need to ascend to the top of the heap in the Eastern Conference. If Cavs management also sees it that way (as it seems they do), talks between Cleveland and Minnesota could heat up quickly.

Per Finnan, "the latest offer could include Wiggins, power forward Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick. Center Brendan Haywood might be included in the deal to make it work contractually."
