Report: 76ers "increase offer" for Cavs' #1 draft pick

There have been a multitude of Cavs rumors surrounding the team's first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, with several teams putting together exploratory packages to gauge the Cleveland Cavaliers' interest.

One team which has been linked to the Cavaliers throughout this process is the Philadelphia 76ers. Per ESPN's Chad Ford, the 76ers look to be sweetening the pot in an attempt to land Cleveland's #1 overall selection:

The 76ers currently hold the #3 and #10 selections in the draft, along with five picks in the second round (32, 39, 47, 52 and 54).

In addition, the 76ers have also said to be dangling both prized young point guard Michael Carter-Williams and power forward Thaddeus Young - pieces which could hold a ton of intrigue for Cleveland if they decide that the #1 pick is up for sale.

Why would the 76ers potentially give up some of these valuable assets? According to CSN Philly, Kansas' Andrew Wiggins is far and away their #1 guy and they'll do whatever it takes to land him:

"I know they liked me, I had a good workout there. They think I would fit good with the style that they play," Wiggins said when asked if he thought the 76ers would trade the house in order to land him.

This is all merely speculative at this point, but brace for fireworks with the NBA Draft rapidly approaching.
