Instant Reaction: Cavs Clinch No. 2 Seed In East With 104-99 Win Over Bucks

Cleveland was able to dictate the tempo of the game in the first half and half a 52-44 halftime lead as a result. That all changed in the second half when Milwaukee fought back and took the lead in the third quarter, but a late fourth quarter run by the Cavs gave them the lead and the win.

Key Stat:

Cleveland dominated the glass, and that was the biggest reason they were able to pull this one out. They outrebounded the Bucks 44-32, and they used that advantage to control the post on both ends of the floor.

Cleveland MVP:

Kyrie Irving was the Cavs' best player in this one for most of the game, dropping 27 points while dishing out nine assists. Kevin Love posted another double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while LeBron James had a good all-around game with 21 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.

Milwaukee MVP:

Michael Carter-Williams was the reason the Bucks nearly won this game as he finished with 30 points and eight assists. Zaza Pachulia also played a big role for Milwaukee, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
