Cleveland Cavaliers Officially Hire David Blatt As Head Coach

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement with David Blatt that would make him the franchise's next head coach, according to Yahoo NBA's Adrian Wojnarowski:

Blatt won the 2014 Euroleague championship with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and has been extremely successful during a 20-year coaching career overseas. Blatt also served as the head coach for Russia’s national team, which he led to EuroBasket gold in 2007 and a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics.

The Cavaliers faced stiff competition from the Golden State Warriors in their pursuit of Blatt - Golden State had reportedly targeted him as Steve Kerr's top assistant, but when Cleveland pulled ahead, the Warriors offered the position to Alvin Gentry instead.
