Signing Colin Kaepernick would be treading more water for a Browns team in need of rescue -- Bud Shaw's Spinoffs

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Browns left tackle Joe Thomas has weighed in on quarterback Colin Kaepernick's unsigned status.

Thomas take is interesting, not only as simple commentary, but because of his status as a Pro Bowl lineman for a team still searching for a quarterback.

My thoughts re: @Kaepernick7? Teams don't currently view him as a starting QB, and NFL teams accept ZERO distractions from their backup QBs.

Could Kaepernick help the Browns? Let's define "help."

If the Browns don't trade for Jimmy Garoppolo, and don't come out of the draft having used a high pick on a quarterback, and don't keep Brock Osweiler (who they don't seem to want either by the way), that might be a fair question.
