Dolphins 30, Browns 24 (OT): Rookie QB Cody Kessler, WR Terrelle Pryor impressive but mistakes, missed opportunities doom winless Browns

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.: The injury-riddled Browns pieced together an attack featuring rookie Cody Kessler and Terrelle Pryor at quarterback and had chances to win, but they ultimately fell 30-24 in overtime to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Browns (0-3) won the coin toss before overtime but elected to kick off to begin the extra period. Coach Hue Jackson’s faith in the defense was rewarded when the Dolphins stalled during their first possession and punted to the Browns’ 9 with 13:28 left in OT.

But the Browns squandered the opportunity. They picked up one first down but couldn’t keep the ensuing drive alive.
