BEREA, Ohio -- It wasn't much of a surprise on Thursday when Hue Jackson named quarterback Robert Griffin III his starter for Sunday's game against Cincinnati. Jackson's choice for backup might have been one, though, at least a little.
Jackson said rookie Cody Kessler will serve as the backup to Griffin.
"Cody has played," Jackson said. "As I told you guys, I think he is fine from a medical standpoint, and I'd like to see him play some more as we move throughout the year. There is a possibility for that to happen. That is kind of the way I see it right now.
