Cleveland Browns select Scooby Wright with pick No. 250

The Cleveland Browns selected Arizona’s Philip “Scooby” Wright with their last pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Wright started 13 games in his freshman year, totaling 83 tackles, nine of which where for a loss. He wasn’t much of a force for most of the year, however, but once the opportunity was presented the following season, “little Scooby-Doo”, as his father called him, took full advantage.

The former Wildcat was a defensive stud in his sophomore year in 2014, earning the three largest national awards in the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Rotary Lombardi Award and Chuck Bednarik Award.
