Browns release Kent State product, Youngstown native Ishmaa'ily Kitchen

The Browns have released nose tackle Ishmaa'ily Kitchen, a Kent State University product and Youngstown native who spent the past three seasons with the team.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed the move Tuesday morning, speaking on condition of anonymity because the Browns have yet to announce it.

The Browns' decision to cut Kitchen is notable because he appeared in 40 games for them, but it shouldn't come as a surprise.

Kitchen, 27, is listed on the depth chart as the third-string nose tackle behind Phil Taylor and rookie Danny Shelton, the 12th overall draft pick.
