CLEVELAND, Ohio – The predictive value of mock drafts earned the usual amount of criticism as the NFL's big event neared last month.
That's not fair in one respect. Everything, after all, is relative.
At least those mock drafts were more relevant than the one promoted in a ESPN headline Friday: "McShay's Way-Too-Early 2017 Mock Draft" in which one disclaimer is shared: Todd McShay hasn't watched much tape yet.
The draft order established by Football Outsiders gives the first pick to none other than the Cleveland Browns, who take Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson.
