WATCH: Clemson QB Deshaun Watson Drops 31-Yard Touchdown Pass To WR Hunter Renfrow

Well, that didn't take long.

Just two and half minutes after Alabama scored first in the National Championship Game, the Clemson Tigers struck back on the ensuing drive.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson rolled to his right and dropped a beautiful right into the arms of walk-on wide receiver Hunter Renfrow for the Tigers' first touchdown of the game, tying the score 7-7.

Watson has started this game completeing 4/7 passes for 53 yards and that touchdown while rushing for 22 more yards on three carries. Renfrow now has two catches for 36 yards and that touchdown.

Clemson was able to move the ball on their first drive as they picked up two first downs, but failed to move the ball across midfield.
