Tigers use second half run to sting Jackets and claim 66-52 victory

GREENVILLE – Clemson used a 9-0 run over a four-minute span late and put away a pesky Georgia Tech team with a 66-52 win over the Yellow Jackets Saturday afternoon in front of 12,232 fans at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Clemson is now 15-10 overall and 8-5 in the ACC while Georgia Tech falls to 13-12 overall and 3-9 in conference play. The win was the 11th straight win at home in the series with Georgia Tech, dating to Senior Day in 2006.

Two free throws by Adam Smith pulled Tech to within five at 55-50 with 4:56 to play but the Jackets hit just one of their last 14 shots and two of their last 16.
